Sockers FC Wisconsin 2013 Senior College Scholarship Application

Sockers FC Wisconsin is proud to honor graduating seniors from the class of 2013 who have called Sockers FC Wisconsin, Kettle Moraine United, Lake Country United, or Oconomowoc Soccer Association their home for soccer.  LInked below is an application, due by March 31st, for scholarship award consideration.  The number and amount of the award(s) will be determined based on the quality and quantity of candidates applying.

Sockers FC Wisconsin and FC Milwaukee Enter Final Stages of Merger

Sockers FC Wisconsin (SFCW) and FC Milwaukee Nationals (FCMN), both of metropolitan Milwaukee, have announced that they are working to secure a merger between the clubs. The merged clubs will move forward together, as Sockers FC Wisconsin. The merger will take effect for the 2013-2014 seasons. Read the full press release. [PDF]

U12 Recreational Futsal Tournament Champions Crowned

The first weekend of the annual recreational futsal tournament at Olin Sang Ruby was a success.  Champions were crowned in the U12 Division.  Congratulations to the Sockers FC South U12 Boys Timbers and the Sockers FC West U12 Girls Chiefs.  Thanks to all teams for participating.  U10 tournaments are slated for February 23-24.


Soccer Collection Drive Update and Thank You

Shoes CollectedThe soccer collection drive has successfully concluded and we'd like to pass on the letter that the girls put together regarding the collection and the beneficiaries of everyone's collective efforts. Over 930 items were collected in total!! This included 338 new & used jerseys, practice & try-out t-shirts, and coaches shirts, 113 pairs of shorts, 96 new & used balls, 124 pairs of cleats & indoor shoes, 68 pairs of shin guards, 97 pairs of socks, 33 goalie jerseys and 13 pairs of goalie gloves along with referee uniforms, ball pumps, warm ups, and sport bags.

Please take a moment to read what these extraordinary girls were able to accomplish with the help of our many giving Sockers FC members. Kudos to everyone involved and thank you for choosing to matter!

Sockers FC WI is seeking a qualified U-13-U-18 Boys Director for 2013-2014

The applicant should have a minimum five years coaching experience, have a positive reputation in the soccer community, and seek to implement and expand upon the ideals of Sockers FC WI. View Details



U-15 and U-16 Boys Needed

Sockers FC WI is still looking for more boys for it's U-15 and U-16 boys teams. These teams are coached by Mike Stoy and Hayden Knight, who both hold their National "B" license. If you are looking for your son to play club soccer this spring, or know someone who is still looking to play club soccer for the spring of 2013, please contact Mike Stoy at mikestoy@lcusoccer.org.

Academy Elite Spring Registration

Sockers FC WI Academy Elite program is opening up registration for players looking to join the Academy for the spring of 2013. The Academy Elite program focuses on technical and fundamental development of your child in a more competitive environment, under the direction of licensed coaches. While many of our teams have full rosters, we will look to create new teams if there is enough interest. Please contact T.C. Ward at academydirector@kmunited.org if your son or daughter is interested in joining the program in the spring. 


2012-2013 Academy Elite/Select Winter Program Announced

The 2012-2013 Winter Program is our first post-merger program and will be starting in November. It is ground breaking for us, and our DOCs and coaches think, for any club in Wisconsin as well. Please view program details and FAQs here.


Sockers FC Wisconsin Governing Board

Sockers FC Wisconsin, through the recent merger of KM United, Lake Country United, and Oconomowoc Soccer Club, has selected and approved the board members for the next year.  In accordance with the bylaws, the entire board is selected to a one, two or three year term in order to provide for consistency and stability for the first three years.  Additionally, the board has equal representation of three members from each of the three clubs.  Terms of officers are for one year only.  Sockers FC Wisconsin is pleased to announce the governing board for 2012-2013:

One year term, Dan Buss, Dave Robinson (Vice President) and Pete Fenelon
Two year term, Dave Beck (Vice President), Sandi DeLisle and Doug Opperman
Three year term, Pehr Petersen (Secretary), Michel Thouati and Ken Ward (President).

We know that there have been a lot of changes and hope that everyone will be patient as we work through these changes.  Because of the speed of the merger a new website and email addresses for the new club are not yet up and running.  In the interim, please contact us at one of the three email addresses below and we will get back to you as soon as feasible.

This league, being managed by US Club Soccer, will provide a supplement to our existing select programs that will help optimize player development while keeping meaningful competition as a key component to youth soccer in Wisconsin. U-16 and U-17 Girls travel to San Diego Final Four Showcase

San Diego, CA – This past weekend two of Sockers FC WI teams had the privilege to attend the prestigious NCAA Final Four College Showcase in San Diego, California. The U-16 Girls Premier I team and U-17 Girls Premier team traveled to the Golden State on Wednesday accompanied by Coaching Directors Rob Lestina and T.C. Ward. View the full Showcase write up.
