Parents of present and future select players,
There have been many, many changes these past couple of weeks in regard to the KMU/LCU/OSC merger and some of these affect Select Tryouts. Below are the updated details.

NEW!

All those interested in trying out must pre-register. You have 2 options to do so.

1. Register on-line via the following link. http://www.lcusoccer.org/Select/TryoutRegistration/tabid/271/Default.aspx There is a $15 tryout fee which must be paid by credit card. Bring your receipt to tryouts.
2. Complete the Select Pre-Registration Form [pdf] and bring it with you on the first night of your child’s tryout. To help the process run as smoothly as possible we ask that you have the form completed in its entirety and your $15 check (made out to LCU) or $15 cash (exact amount preferred) ready to turn in.

Other information:

• Check-in will be at the Ewald Family Pavilion concession stand. Please be sure to arrive 30 minutes before your designated tryout time to hand in your form/show your receipt, pay your fee and pick up a tryout shirt.
• You are no longer required to bring a photo (this will be downloaded electronically at a later date) or have your child sign a label.
• Please be sure to bring a soccer ball and water bottle, wear soccer appropriate attire including shin guards but NO team jerseys!
• We are expecting a lot of players at tryouts so please be patient with our process. It is new for all of us and we have worked hard to try to make this as simple and smooth as possible.
• Representatives from each club will be available to answer questions.

IMPORTANT***

IF YOUR CHILD IS UNABLE TO ATTEND TRYOUTS DUE TO BEING OUT OF TOWN (vacation/mission trip, etc) YOU MUST DO THE FOLLOWING:

1. PRE-REGISTER and PAY (Online or Printable). Your child will be given a tryout # and t-shirt that you can pick up at a later date.
2. GET A WRITTEN ASSESSMENT from your child’s present coach highlighting your child’s qualities and skills. This is to help in decision making and team placement. This should be turned in by your child’s coach to the KMU Coaching Director (academydirectory@kmunited.org) before the first day of tryouts.

IF YOUR CHILD IS UNABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN TRYOUTS DUE TO BEING INJURED YOU MUST DO THE FOLLOWING:

1. PRE-REGISTER and PAY (Online or Printable). Your child will be given a tryout # and t-shirt.
2. ATTEND TRYOUTS. Coaches want to see that your child is committed and also would like the players to observe drills etc.
3. GET A WRITTEN ASSESSMENT from your child’s present coach highlighting your child’s qualities and skills. This is to help in decision making and team placement. This should be turned in by your child’s coach to the KMU Coaching Director (academydirector@kmunited.org) before the first day of tryouts.
